Die Therapie umfasste den Einsatz von Ganzkörper-Vibration, bei der Pferde auf einer Vibrationsplattform standen, die sanfte Vibrationen über den ganzen Körper übertrug. Dabei wurde insbesondere die Wirkung auf die Schmerzempfindlichkeit (gemessen durch mechanische Nocizeptionstests) und auf die Stabilität der Körperhaltung analysiert.
